Hey, hello, and welcome!

I’m a designer who loves making useful things with good people. Whether the work is contract, freelance, or volunteer, it’s always about creating with purpose.

I work on all kinds of things including graphic design, layout, web design, custom illustrations, stock assets, marketing ideas, planning, and general creative mischief.

In my more traditional roles, I wrangle large projects and create design for humans. You can see those projects here.

When I’m not designing, I enjoy hiking, gardening, and collecting native plants in the forest.

West Seattle Garden Tour

As a marketing volunteer, I assisted the leadership team to plan and design the 25th anniversary marketing lead-up.

The tour is a day-long guided garden walk featuring gardens in the West Seattle neighborhood. The event is an annual fundraiser for a variety of community organizations promoting horticulture, education, and the arts.

Responsibilities included: creating a marketing calendar for promotional activities, writing and posting press releases, coordinating garden photography, designing promotional materials and social posts, assisting with website management, creating and scheduling emails, and interacting with day-of event visitors as a garden docent.

The tour sold out for the first time in history.

King County Coordinated Response Guideline

I was hired to create an official reference document to provide guidelines for an effective, coordinated systems response in King County for children affected by domestic violence (DV) and child abuse/neglect.

The documented agreements are widely referenced by judges, lawyers, law enforcement agencies, and departments of health and social services.

Responsibilities included: organizing the content through tracked changes and a meticulous attention to detail; designing a Word template with embedded styles; ensuring the long-form document, appendices, and sections contained interactive anchor links for quick reference; generating final PDFs and sectioned PDFs for print and hosting online.

These guidelines have helped ensure that the actions of one agency do not compromise the goals of other agencies for more than 10 years.

Activities: document design, layout, Word template design, content coordination.
